A photo taken in a lovely garden near Port Logan, called Logan gardens, the climate is so mild that you find some unusual plants that you normally wouldn't expect to find in Scotland, well worth a visit if you're ever over that way.

Welcome to my site.
I’m a self taught artist from south west Scotland and am influenced by the region in which I live, which you will see as you look through my paintings. I paint a lot of boats, harbours and coastal scenes which are a mark of this area and a fact I’m happy to go with. Other influences are great artists past and present such as Sir Frank Dicksee, William Wheeler, John Barber, Frank Clarke, Allwyn Crawshaw, Bob Ross and many more. It was in fact Bob Ross’ ‘Joy of Painting’ that introduced me to the world of painting, the half hour slots each morning made painting accessible to me and I’ve not looked back since. Please enjoy having a look around. Kind regards, James. |
In the menu at the top you will find I have various galleries where my artwork is for sale, either as a print or you can purchase the original. I also have a section under blogs where I log art events or comments as they present themselves.
I take on commissions and welcome your photos, please look under commissions to see my past work. As you can see from the slide show below I will take on most subjects. Landscapes to landmarks. Please contact for pricing etc... |
